Dr. Sugar has been an active operator and advisor to a variety of companies across many industries and currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Uber Technologies and a director of Apple. Dr. Sugar was a lead director of Chevron Corporation, a director of Amgen Inc., and was Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Northrop Grumman from 2003 until his retirement in 2010. Prior to joining Northrop Grumman in 2001, Dr. Sugar held senior operating, technical, and financial positions at TRW Inc. and Litton Industries. He was appointed earlier by the President of the United States to the National Security Telecommunications Advisory Committee. Dr. Sugar has been selected to serve as a special advisor due to his extensive operating experience and business network across many industries.
